It is very frustrating as a business owner when an employee isn’t performing.
We feel the financial strain of paying wages for work that is subpar, we see the cultural strain of other team members becoming disgruntled picking up the slack and we have to deal with the strain of unhappy customers, one’s that we worked so hard to win.

I returned from Hawaii last week where I spent 9 nights over the Christmas and New Year break with my family. The plan was beach, pool, exploring, dining and relaxing.

A little test for your business!
I am going to blow my own trumpet for a moment. Well actually, no I’m not, I am just going to show why we practice what we preach. Because it works.

I won’t name names on this blog because that would be unprofessional, so let’s just call the company “X”!
What do I know about X?
A typical day for most SME business owners and CEO’s is in the trenches. We are managing and training people, winning customers, putting out fires, watching the dollars, having meetings, recruiting, networking and having more meetings. We are busy busy doing what we think is right to get the results we need. We understand the importance of taking time to work on our business rather than in it and do get to do that sometimes, but probably not as much as we would like or be advised to.
