My Journey Wasn't A Straight Line (And That's Why It Works)

We often hear stories of the "born entrepreneur". The kid who had a lemonade stand at five, sold baseball cards at school when they were eight, started a newspaper round at ten! Well, I wasn't that kid. But from the early stages of my working life, I realized quickly that I wanted three things:

01. Independence

I didn't want to ever have to rely on anyone else for what I needed in life.

02. Creativity

I wanted freedom to design a life that spoke to my beliefs, passions, and goals since so much of life is designed by the work we do.

03. To Inspire

Inspiration has been a key fuel source for me since I was little. Books, quotes, human stories. I wanted to inspire.

I didn't know the term "entrepreneur" until well into my first business. Now, 18+ years later, I understand that entrepreneurship delivers these three core desires, and so much more.

Why I'm Obsessed With Helping Founders & CEOs

Here's the thing about growing a business: the challenges I faced are the same ones you're facing. I've been the founder pulling all-nighters because a team member quit unexpectedly. I've experienced the frustration of training someone only to watch them underperform or leave. I've felt the weight of responsibility knowing my decisions affect not just my life, but the lives of my team members and their families.

That's why I don't approach culture and people as theoretical concepts. For me, they're practical business challenges that directly impact your ability to scale, profit, and eventually, exit.

When I work with entrepreneurs, I'm not just bringing 18+ years of expertise in creating high-performing workplaces. I'm bringing battle scars and hard-won victories of someone who's been exactly where you are. Because at the end of the day, I believe entrepreneurs who are brave enough to build something meaningful deserve workplaces that actually work, not just for their people, but for their bottom line and their quality of life.

We've Built What We Now Help Others Build

wattsnextpx didn't start with funding, a board, or a corporate safety net. It started in a spare room in Australia, with one client, a vision to disrupt the HR industry, and a relentless drive to prove there's a better way.

We grew that vision into a high-impact consultancy, working with hundreds of founders, CEOs, and scale-up teams across Australia. Then, we did what most don't: we expanded into the U.S. market and built again. New clients. New challenges. Same obsession with building businesses where culture isn't an afterthought, it's a strategy.

We know how to grow because we've done it. We know what breaks when you scale fast. We know how to fix it. And now we help others do the same: smarter, faster, and with a team that truly gets it.
